Banking products are FDIC insured up to $250,000 per depositor at an intuition. This is a standard of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation that you find at many banks. Charles Schwab does cover 100% of losses that happen on your account from unauthorized activity.
However for other losses your brokerage services and products are not FDIC insured or guaranteed by any bank. This means they can lose value when you see the market is down and you check your account using the Schwab login page.
